Affiliated Colleges

Cummings continues to invest in educational equity and workforce development through its partnerships with several high-quality post-secondary institutions. Through this invitation-only funding initiative, Cummings Foundation has pledged no less than $10 million to each school.

Cummings $30 Million Grant Program

As a place-based philanthropic initiative, the Cummings $30 Million Grant Program seeks to support nonprofits in Essex, Middlesex, and Suffolk counties in eastern Massachusetts. Each year, this program awards 150 grants to a diverse group of charities. These awards include 125 three-year grants of $30,000 to 300,000 each, plus 25 ten-year grants of up to $1 million each. These grants fund a wide variety of local causes, including underserved populations, healthcare, social justice, and education. Cummings Foundation’s $30 Million Grant Program webpage offers a great deal of information, including a timeline, eligibility requirements, and funding priorities.
